As soon as the blue-tailed bee-eater had left its perch, a group of scaly-breasted munia replaced it. At first there was just one, then within a very short time, a few others joined it on the dead tree. The bunch started grooming themselves. It looks like a mixed group of juveniles and adults. The juveniles being more light brown whereas the adults had the distinctive scaly markings at their sides and undersides.
There was a grass-cutter labouring close-by and that explains the sounds of the metallic cutter and motor.
